Moldovan Central Electoral Commission approves institution's budget for 2026 year
The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) today approved the institution's budget for the 2026 year, totaling 151,068.2 thousand lei. Out of the total amount, over 66,603.8 thousand lei will be directed towards the financing of political parties.
For the CEC's activities, the expenditure estimate is 48,188.6 thousand lei, while for the activities of the second-level electoral constituency councils, it is 15,005.2 thousand lei. The budget for the Continuing Training Center in the electoral field is planned at 5,348.2 thousand lei.
At the same time, 13,059.5 thousand lei is estimated for the organization and conduct of new local elections, and the expenditure estimate for the partial implementation of postal voting is 400 thousand lei.
The estimated budget of the CEC is submitted to parliament of Moldova.
