National Army soldiers and employees of Police, Carabineer Inspectorate and the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations are intervening in Chișinău, Bălți, Comrat and Cahul. They are involved in clearing sidewalks and access roads to hospitals, polyclinics, health centers, pharmacies and public transport stops.

During the night, 175 special vehicles and 162 road workers were deployed for snow removal and anti-icing operations, with over 1,800 tons of anti-skid material spread. The movement of trucks and buses on national routes was resumed starting at 6:00 a.m.

At Chișinău International Airport, runways are cleared, and aircraft are taking off and landing according to schedule. All border crossing points are operating normally.

Electricity distribution operators reported six localities affected overnight by outages caused by weather conditions.

In the last 12 hours, the 112 Service has registered 934 calls.

According to the State Hydrometeorological Service, the Yellow Code for ice and glazing remains in force until 9 February 8:00 p.m., and weather conditions may continue to affect road traffic. In this context, the authorities urge citizens to avoid non-essential travel.
