
International Fund for Agricultural Development to financially support expansion of fruit processing businesses in Moldova
The Consolidated Program Implementation Unit (CPIU) of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) announces financial support for the expansion of fruit processing businesses.
“Processed fruits yield higher revenues than fresh ones, and now producers have the opportunity to expand their business with the financial support of the Government of the Republic of Moldova, through IFAD Programs. It is about funding up to 150,000 euros for investments in post-harvest and fruit processing activities and financial packages of up to 250,000 euros for producer groups (credit + 20,000 euros grant),” CPIU IFAD said.
Equipment can be purchased for washing and sorting lines; primary cleaning and preparation (peelers, pit removal equipment, slicers, cutters); juice, jams production (chopping and pressing machines; filtering and settling equipment; pasteurization, boiling and autoclaving equipment); dehydration and freezing (dehydrators/fruit; freezers); chocolate glazing (chocolate tempering equipment; glazing tunnels); packaging and labeling (filling and capping equipment; bag sealing machines; vacuum packaging equipment; label printers; energy efficiency improvements with photovoltaic panels, wind installations, and machines and installations for thermal heating.
CPIU IFAD implements sustainable rural and economic development programs, carried out by the Moldovan government with the support of the International Fund for Agricultural Development.
