Moldovan president attends Moldovan-Romanian Economic Forum

President Maia Sandu, alongside Her Majesty Margareta and His Royal Highness, Prince Radu, attended the Moldovan-Romanian Economic Forum today. The event brought together businesspeople from both banks of the Prut River.

The head of state said that, thanks to these partnerships, a stronger economy was being built, a better life for people and a secure path towards the European Union.

"Today, I was pleased to welcome at the Presidency Her Majesty Margareta and His Royal Highness, Prince Radu. Together we attended the Moldovan-Romanian Economic Forum, organized in Chisinau under the aegis of the Royal Family of Romania – an event that brings entrepreneurs from both sides of the Prut closer and opens new economic opportunities. I thanked them for their sincere love for Moldova and their constant support for our modernization efforts. With such partnerships, we are building a stronger economy, a better life for people and a secure path towards the EU,” Maia Sandu said.

Her Majesty Margareta, Custodian of the Crown of Romania and His Royal Highness Prince Radu are visiting Chisinau on April 6 and 7. The visit is dedicated to the economic development of Moldova, cooperation between the two countries, and strengthening the European path of Moldova.

This is the 22nd visit by the Royal Family to Moldova over the last two decades. In recent years, King Mihai, Custodian of the Crown Margareta, Prince Radu, Princess Sofia and Princess Maria have visited the cities of Chisinau, Balti, Orhei, Soroca, Ialoveni and many other settlements of the country.
