Four Moldovans trapped in mountains in Romania rescued

The Foreign Affairs Ministry (MAE) announces that the rescue team’s intervention for the four citizens of Moldova, who were trapped on a mountain in Arges County, Romania, has successfully concluded.

According to the information provided by the Embassy of Moldova in Bucharest, the citizens were picked up by rescuers and safely escorted to the vehicle they were traveling in. Authorities emphasize that all four Moldovans are in good condition and have not suffered any injuries.

The MAE specifies that the operation was conducted without incidents and the citizens received full assistance throughout the intervention.

Four citizens from Moldova on December 28 were stranded at the Călțun Refuge after starting on a route to the Negoiu peak. The men took shelter in the refuge, awaiting the intervention of the mountain rescuers.
