Moldovan PM participates in Artificial Intelligence & Big Data Conference
Leaders in technology, business, finance and public administration have brought together at the second edition of the Artificial Intelligence & Big Data Conference, held in Bulboaca.
Attending the event, Prime Minister Dorin Recean stressed that artificial intelligence (AI) was no longer just a future concept, but a present reality in business management, healthcare service delivery, communication, public policy delivery and quality services to citizens.
"Artificial intelligence can enhance productivity, profitability and competitiveness in almost any field: from marketing and sales to logistics, strategic planning and advanced data analysis. We are talking about real tools, with immediate applicability in our businesses and institutions," said Prime Minister Dorin Recean.
According to the PM, AI will not replace people, but it will enhance their capabilities: "This is an essential message for both the academic environment and the private sector: we should not train generations trying to compete with machines, but generations that know exactly how to master them."
The prime minister highlighted that Moldova must be part of the transformations that other countries were going through, which use artificial intelligence to grow their economies. "We offer investment opportunities, acceleration programs, partnerships between universities and technology companies, as well as strategic support from the government, so that the best ideas do not leave Moldova, but grow here. We can achieve much more, if we join our efforts. Therefore, I urge all of you to be part of this effort to transform Moldova into the most technologized version of itself," noted Prime Minister Dorin Recean.
The Artificial Intelligence & Big Data conference is taking place on April 3-4, 2025, in Chisinau and Bulboaca. Participants are addressing essential topics that define the new digital age: from regulation and ethics to AI applications in education, energy or cybersecurity. The event is organized by the National Association of ICT Companies (ATIC), the American Chamber of Commerce Moldova (AmCham Moldova), AC Tech and Tekwill, in partnership with the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization of Moldova.
