Students and teachers from Nicolae Testemițanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy attended university fairs organized in Bălți and Călărași cities, providing high school students with information about educational opportunities in medicine and pharmacy.
Thus, students from Florești, Șoldănești, Fălești, Sângerei and Ungheni districts had the opportunity to learn about the advantages of studying in the Republic of Moldova. They participated in cardiopulmonary resuscitation workshops organized by USMF students, members of the Association of Medical Students and Residents of Moldova.
Attending the inauguration of the fair in Bălți was Minister of Education and Research Dan Perciun, who encouraged graduates to choose the country's universities.
'We want to see you here in Moldova, harnessing the opportunities provided by our education system. We have invested almost 500 million lei in modernizing universities, and this process continues,' the minister said.
Tatiana Șchiopu, an assistant professor at Vasile Procopișin Department of Social Pharmacy emphasized that such campaigns help young people understand the importance of higher education in the country.
'Studying at home, young people contribute to the change we all desire. Choosing a university is about who they want to become and how they want to influence the future of society,' she said.
The events brought together over 1000 students, teachers and parents interested in the programs of the nine participating universities.
The fairs in Bălți and Călărași are part of the national campaign Study in Moldova, launched by the Ministry of Education and Research. The next events will be held on 5 April in Orhei and Cahul, and on 12 April in Strășeni and Comrat.
