Over 660 entrepreneurs benefited from favorable loans through Program 373, investments in economy reached 4 billion lei

663 entrepreneurs from across the country have benefited from favorable loans through the governmental Program 373, developing businesses that bring economic stability and opportunities for communities. The total value of the loans exceeded 2.7 billion lei, and the investments in the national economy reached 4 billion lei.

According to the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitization, over 9,900 people work in companies developed through Program 373, and an additional 1,969 jobs are expected to be created.

The financial resources have been directed towards the development of small and medium-sized businesses, offering entrepreneurs the chance to expand their businesses and create new jobs.

With the support of the Program, investment projects have been initiated in almost all districts of the country, with the largest investments being made in the Central region and the municipality of Chisinau, with over 1.3 billion lei for each region, followed by the Northern region with investments of 717 million lei, and the Southern region, including Gagauzia, with 200 million lei.

Regarding the sectors in which investments have been made, the statistics show that energy production and supply attracted 45% of the total value of the projects, manufacturing industry 16%, and transport and storage 15%. Significant investments have also been made in health, education and leisure.

The 373 program was launched in the summer of 2023. Over time, access to financing has been expanded, and procedures have been simplified. Thus, the maximum loan amount was increased from 15 to 40 million lei, and the possibility of financing the purchase of raw materials and materials necessary for production or service delivery is now up to 30% of the investment project value. Additionally, the maximum guarantee ceiling was raised from 40% to 80% of the loan value through the Credit Guarantee Fund.
