Constantin Borosan to take over office of director of National Energy Regulatory Agency of Moldova as of September 1

Constantin Borosan will take over the position of director of the Board of the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE), starting from September 1, 2025. The decision today was approved by parliament, with the votes of 57 deputies.

Borosan's appointment follows a public competition, in which eight candidates were admitted. He got the highest score in the interview phase, being declared the winner.

Constantin Borosan holds a degree in energy and environment and is currently pursuing doctoral studies. He has benefited from professional trainings in Italy and the United States. Since 2023, he has held the office of State Secretary at the Ministry of Energy, where he is responsible for such key areas as electricity, natural gas, petroleum products, cogeneration and energy security. He has earlier held the same position at the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development.

In addition to his governmental work, Borosan has been a scientific researcher at the Institute of Energy and a university lecturer at the Faculty of Energy and Electrical Engineering at the Technical University of Moldova, where worked for over 12 years.

The ANRE Board is made up of five directors, appointed by parliament following a competition, according to legal provisions.
