Teleradio-Moldova company launches regional radio station in Gagauzia
Starting from 1 July 2025, Teleradio-Moldova (TRM) company will officially launch the regional station Radio Moldova Comrat, a new media channel dedicated to the community in Gagauzia autonomy. The new radio station, with a generalist profile, aims to diversify TRM's editorial offerings and meet the informational and cultural needs of the residents in the southern part of the country.
According to TRM.Md, Radio Moldova Comrat will have its own broadcast schedule, comprising 24 program titles covering domains such as local current events, education, culture, entertainment, and news. The daily program will include 12 hours of its own broadcasts in the Gagauz and Russian languages, while the other 12 hours will consist of retransmissions of Radio Moldova's programs — TRM's main station.
The station can be received on frequencies 105.6 MHz (Comrat) and 104.3 MHz (Vulcanesti), but is also available online on the official platform: www.radiomoldova.md.
The project marks an important step in strengthening social cohesion and access to unbiased information in the Republic of Moldova, while also promoting the Gagauz language and culture, as well as the Romanian language, through the retransmitted content.
