Spokesman for Moldovan government comments on protest staged outside government building
The spokesperson for the government, Daniel Voda, today came with a reaction to the protest organized at the government by supporters of a political party. He said that "protests with slogans written in advance abroad and with orchestrated intentions are resumed periodically at the behest of sponsors who do not want Moldova to continue on the European path."
Daniel Voda pointed out that the participants in the protest, instead of seeking real solutions for the agricultural sector, chose to fuel distrust and promote messages that divide society.
"In recent days, we see that several political parties enjoy pluralism and democracy to shout political slogans that claim the contrary. I have already warned the citizens from this podium, and I repeat, that the season of orchestrated protests has started. Today, outside the government building, another episode took place, a protest orchestrated by the supporters of a political party who, instead of seeking real solutions for the agricultural sector, chose to fuel distrust and promote messages that divide society," said Daniel Voda.
The government’s spokesperson also said that the protests were orchestrated and organized at the direction of individuals who do not want Moldova to continue on the European path.
"Protests with pre-written slogans and, unfortunately, abroad and with orchestrated intentions does not represent something new; this is an old play, periodically resumed at the direction of sponsors who do not wish for Moldova to continue on the European path," emphasized Daniel Voda.
He noted that the cabinet did not respond with scandal to such orchestrated protests, but with action. According to him, the government has allocated the largest budget for agriculture in the country's history in recent years, the programmes of subsidies subsidy continue, are paid on time, and European projects, including through the Growth Plan, bring direct investments to villages and agriculture.
"The truth is simple: we build, while others shout, we come up with solutions, and others bring the show, unfortunately. Our path stays the same: development, investment and care for people. I want to emphasize, also on this occasion, that no one will divert us from this path," concluded Daniel Voda.
