Moldovan government denies information on liquidation of Agency for Development and Modernization of Agriculture

The spokesperson for the Government, Daniel Voda, today denied the information spread in the public space regarding a possible initiative that would provide for the liquidation of the Agency for the Development and Modernization of Agriculture (ADMA). He emphasized that this is fake news.

‘’An association from Moldova has given the press false information about a draft law proposing the liquidation of the Agency for the Development and Modernization of Agriculture (ADMA) or the Office of Vine and Wine. I want to reiterate with full responsibility that it is fake,’’ said Daniel Voda after a today's cabinet meeting.

The government's spokesperson noted that the draft law under discussion did not provide for the liquidation of ADMA or other similar institutions within the public institutions' organizational chart.

‘’On the contrary, the draft contains a specific provision that clearly explains the subordination of these institutions in relation to the relevant ministries, in order to more effectively support the priorities set by the government. In other words, the institutions are not being liquidated, I repeat, this is fake,’’ Daniel Voda said.

He also said that the draft submitted for discussion aimed to make the activities of the affected institutions more efficient, so that they are aligned with the priorities of the government.

‘’What we are doing now is to make them more efficient and ensure that they are aligned with the priorities of the government. We recommend that those spreading such information read the draft laws on state platforms, in order to get into the essence. And if they need support and assistance, honest civil servants can explain this when these requests arise,’’ concluded Daniel Voda.
