
European Commissioner for Enlargement on €1.9 billion support for Moldova
The €1.9 billion support provided by the European Union to the Republic of Moldova demonstrates that the EU is a reliable partner for our country. Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos made the statement, after the conclusion of discussions on granting the support.
“In turbulent times, trustworthy friends matter. We have just concluded the trilogues regarding Moldova's Growth Plan: €1.9 billion to boost economic growth, strengthen reforms and anchor a free Moldova in the European Union. This demonstrates that the EU is a reliable partner for the people of Moldova,” said Marta Kos.
The European Parliament and EU member states have agreed on a new support plan for the Republic of Moldova, worth €1.9 billion. The new mechanism is intended to accelerate socio-economic reforms in our country, strengthen resilience and advance EU integration.
